We hope the below questions will answer any queries you may have about Book It, however if you need additional support or advice, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How can I pay for my booking?

The online payment system allows you to pay using either a debit card or credit card.

How will I know if I am booked onto a course?

  • After submitting your request to enrol on a course, you will receive an automated email confirmation that your booking has been received.
  • Please ensure all your details, particularly your email address are correct before submitting your request. If your details are incorrect, you may not receive your confirmation.
  • If you do not receive an automated confirmation please contact us

I had to create an account and password on the previous booking system - is this not required when using ‘Book It’?

No, our aim when we created the new system was to make the booking process as streamlined and efficient for our customers as possible. To achieve this, we decided to remove the requirement to create an account. Due to this, we advise you keep all confirmation emails from your booking(s) which will contain your order reference number, should you need to contact us with any queries.

What do I need to take with me to the course/event?

Emergency First Aid
It is essential all those attending an EFA course take a form of photographic ID for verification. Failure to do so will result in the release of all course certificates being delayed. You will receive an accompanying resource to do with the course content. You may wish to take a pen and notepad to make notes of your own.

If your course is practical (An Introduction to the FUNdamentals of Movement, Analysing your Coaching, Multi Skill Club Inclusion, Multi Skill Club Induction and Multi Skill Clubs in practice) you will be required to wear suitable clothing to allow you to take part in activities if necessary.

Active Workplace
For activities such as Get into Golf, or Beginners Surfing, you will receive separate information by email a few days before the start date explaining what equipment is provided, and anything you may need to take with you

When will I receive my certificate for my coach education course?

Emergency First Aid in Sport
Provided there is no delay from the awarding body, you should receive your certificate in the post (to the address you provided on your registration form) within 6 weeks of the course.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children
Providing there is no delay from the awarding body (UK Coaching), you should receive your certificate (to the address you provided on your registration form at the course) within 8 weeks of the course.

Please note, certificates will not be distributed unless your place on the course has been paid for.

I’ve lost my certificate - who do I need to contact to obtain a copy?

If you lose your certificate or you do not receive your certificate within the time frames mentioned above, please use the contact information provided below:

Please ensure you have details of the course to hand, i.e. date and venue that it took place.

I can’t attend the workshop on the date I am booked on. Can my registration be transferred to an alternative date?

Registrations can be transferred however the following conditions apply:

  • Transfer requests must be received at least five working days before commencement of the course

  • Transfers can only be completed for the same course, i.e. Safeguarding to Safeguarding. You cannot transfer from a Safeguarding course to a First Aid course

  • Should a cost review take place and the course prices alter, you must be prepared to pay the difference.

What happens if I can't attend?

All cancellation requests must be received at least five working days before commencement of the course to be eligible for a refund. We are not able to offer refunds or transfers for late cancellations, except for exceptional circumstances, which are at the discretion of the organisers. To request the cancellation of a place/s on a course, please contact us.

What is the cut off point for booking on a course?

Unless otherwise stated, you can book a place on courses/events up until the day before the course starts. For events such as conferences and Active Workplace Games/Tournaments, the description will state the booking deadline date. Please contact us if you wish to make a late booking.

How will my information be used?

Your information will be used by the Active Partnerships to organise and run the workshop/event that you have registered for. The Active Partnership may need to forward your contact details to the organisation which is delivering the event on our behalf, for example, to send out certificates after a workshop. We may also use your information to occasionaly send you relevant information regarding other training or development opportunities, or to inform the services we deliver by finding out more about the coaching/volunteer workforce.
